Michael Schneider was born in southern Germany in 1962. He graduated from his Product Design studies from the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, under Professor Richard Sapper. In 1993, he opened his own design-studio: designschneider, where he still works to this day.
He focuses on product design, furniture, exhibitions and research trends. He cooperates with many foreign companies, for whom he proposes products oriented on uniqueness, functionality and utility in everyday life. Michael Schnieder has also lectured at universities in Korea, India, RWTH (The Rhine-Westphalian Technical University) in Aachen, and the University of the Arts in Berlin. He is the recipient of many international awards.
He designed the Trapez table for TON.
The Trapez table is spacious with an optically “light” look and provides you with maximum space while sitting at the table due to its thin plate. Its stability and solidity are guaranteed by the obliquely set legs, which remind one of the profile of a plane´s wings.
