Arrivederci Milano!
The 822 and 811 collections have been expanded by Claesson Koivisto Rune, and the P.O.V. product family by the German duo KASCHKASCH. These new items were TON’s main theme for this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan, which took place from 18 to 23 April 2023. On this occasion, the brand was exhibiting as part of the S.Project concept in hall 10, stand D20 and, in addition to the above-mentioned new products, it also brought products launched in previous years and some hand-bent models.
See moreThe stand was designed by the creators of one of this year’s new products, studio KASCHKASCH. “The wooden sides are inspired by TON’s DNA material and introduce a softer character to the presentation. They are also curved, which emphasises the technology of woodbending,” explains designer Florian Kallus. Sustainability is one of the main ideas underlying the creation of this collection, which is why it is composed of modules that can be de-assembled and re-used. The Austrian visual communications studio Bueronardin was responsible for the graphic work.
Selected products, such as the P.O.V. tables, the Again bar stool, and the Merano chair by Alexander Gufler, were on display in Milan’s city centre, at Via Tortona 31, as well as at the trade fair. TON joined the Archiproducts Terra project, curated by Studio Pepe, a concept that builds on earthy tones and our natural connection to the earth. This installation will be on display in Milan throughout the coming year.
