Arik Levy, a French-Israeli designer, is known for his innovative and
multidisciplinary approach. This approach combines art, architecture and design
to create unique and timeless products. As far as collaboration with Ton goes,
he designed the Split collection, the world’s first to split a single piece
of wood lengthwise in two and bend it in two directions to carry a comfortable
upholstered seat. The unique Split chair designed by Arik Levy elevates an
ordinary seating area into an extraordinary experience. This innovative approach
elevates traditional materials to extraordinary masterpieces, combining modern
aesthetics with master craftsmanship and offering a novel design combining
unique wood bending technology with functionality. In addition to this
collection, he also designed the Bloom tables, which are available in a variety
of designs and bring nature-inspired elegance to interiors.
The Split collection won the 2016 German Design Award with a special mention in
the Excellent Product Design – Furniture category.
In 2015, the Split collection was awarded the Designblok Editors’ Choice Award
for Best New Furniture at the Designblok show in Prague.

title in the Association of Czech Furniture Designers competition.
