Claesson Koivisto Rune is a Swedish architecture and design studio founded in
1995 by Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune. Initially focused on
architecture, they have expanded their scope to product design, which has led to
many significant projects in furniture, lighting and interior design. They have
designed several iconic collections for Ton, including the 314 chair, which
combines clean lines and functional design. This model is directly related to
the iconic chair No. 14 by Ton, which is considered one of the most important
design classics in the history of furniture. The 314 chair retains its basic
proportions and timelessness, but brings a contemporary take on traditional
bentwood and a modern aesthetic. Another important project is the
822 collection, a modern interpretation of the classic 811 model, which
combines the characteristic pattern of circular holes in the backrest with a
modern aesthetic. Among their products is the Lounge Armchair 811, which stands
out for its sophisticated elegance and comfort. Claesson Koivisto Rune is the
recipient of a number of prestigious awards, including the Red Dot Design Award
and the Elle Deco International Design Award, and their work has been featured
at the world’s leading design exhibitions.
