Chair 314 on Mont Blanc: The Expedition Continues

Something extraordinary – and, for us, highly personal – took place on the summit of Mont Blanc in the 1990s. A Ton employee and his wife set out to get to the highest mountain in Europe, and took something exceptional with them – our iconic Number 14 chair. This story was repeated 34 years later, on 17 July 2024. This time, it was the third generation of this icon, the 314 chair, that was carried.

And it was carried along a route that links three peaks: Mont Blanc du Tacul, Mont Maudit and Mont Blanc. The 314 chair, a new icon, stood on the summit of Mont Blanc as a reminder that tradition and innovation go hand-in-hand.
