Following the success of Merano, Ton introduces All’essenza, a new chair by Alexander Gufler

The designer whose Merano collection has sold more than half a million pieces worldwide has created another new product for Ton. First unveiled at this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan, the All’essenza chair builds on the very best qualities of the previous iconic models Merano and La Zitta. It combines lightness of form, outstanding comfort, and practicality for restaurants, hotels, offices, and public interiors.

At first glance, All’essenza impresses with its lightness. Its clean silhouette, gently shaped seat and backrest, balanced proportions, and understated elegance create a chair that feels natural in almost any interior. The name All’essenza refers to the very essence of design – removing everything unnecessary and focusing only on what truly matters.

The new model also bears the signature of two successful Gufler designs for Ton. From Merano, it inherits visual lightness and ergonomic confidence; from the La Zitta collection, it takes calm sophistication and purity of detail. The result is a contemporary universal chair designed for long-term use.

“When form reaches the right proportions and design is reduced to its essence, only the essence remains. All’essenza seeks balance between simplicity, comfort, and timeless elegance,” says Alexander Gufler, who has worked with Ton for many years.

However, the chair is not built on aesthetics alone. It was designed for intensive everyday use and the needs of contemporary interiors. The chair is lightweight, stackable, and thanks to a discreet linking element, can be arranged in rows. These practical features will be especially appreciated by hotels, conference centres, restaurants, and flexible workspaces where layouts often change.

“All’essenza perfectly captures the direction Ton has been following for years. We create products that respect our craft tradition while responding to current market demands. This new model combines lightness of expression, high functionality, and the versatility expected today by architects and proprietors,” says Milan Dostalík, CEO of Ton.

The launch was also accompanied by a striking Ton stand at the Milan fair. The installation was defined by yellow rods referencing the characteristic wood bends and bentwood technology historically associated with the brand. The concept was created by Vrtiška & Žák studio, the brand’s art directors, who conceived the space as a contemporary interpretation of the company’s craft heritage.
