The prestigious EDIDA 2025 (ELLE Decoration International Design Award) has announced its nominees - and Ton is twice among them! The iconic chair 314 by Claesson Koivisto Rune and Ode to Chair 14 by Jiří Krejčřík have made it to the final.
Both designs build on the legacy of bentwood, but interpret it in very different ways. 314 transforms the classic into an elegant, contemporary design, while Ode to Chair 14 pays homage to tradition with an artistic twist.
The winners of the Czech round will be announced on 27 February, and the winners of the Czech round will go on to the international competition, where they will compete against the best designs from 25 other countries. Fingers crossed for our chairs, which will once again prove that Czech design has a firm place in the world!
